Swiper – Framework-Free Mobile Slider

Swiper is a beautiful content slider that is built for mobile and works pretty fast as it usesВ hardware accelerated transitions. The slider is lightweight, uses no JavaScript frameworks and has support for “touch events” whose interaction ratio can be customized.

It responds to changes in orientation, has support for vertical + horizontal sliding and comes with built-in pagination control (bullets).

Swiper

Each swipe event brings the next/prev slide but it can be set in free mode as well where the content will be scrolled as much as you swiped. Swiper can present multiple items at once (carousel), loop infinitely and feature any HTML content.

There is an API that allows controlling the pagination and provides callbacks on major events. It also works on desktop browsers (mouse events are accepted) and can be extended with plugins.

Requirements: No Requirements
Compatibility: All Major Browsers

Also, functions exist for detecting whether it is iPad, iPhone, Android, Blackberry, etc.

And, we can even drill-down to the versions of the platforms and browsers if needed.

It has a huge library of devices (including Nook, Nexus, Kindle, Archos..) and browsers for a stable detection.

jQ.Mobi – jQuery-like JavaScript Framework For Mobile

jQuery Rewritten, Ground-Up, for Mobile HTML5 on iOS and Android devices. This is how jQ.Mobi defines itself and gives a good insight on what it is.

It is a fresh and open source JavaScript framework – developed by appMobi – that focuses on providing a great experience on both of the dominant mobile operating systems with a tiny footprint and code efficiency.

jQ.Mobi

Compared to jQuery Mobile (24kb), it is much smaller in size with only 3.5kb (both minified and gzipped) and covers most features with the same syntax.

When it comes to speed, jQ.Mobi is impressive there as well and mentioned to be 3x faster on Android and 2.2x faster on iOS. The framework also has a UI library (again smaller in size) and includes plugins for mobile interactions and interfaces
